Our new house!

When we decided to put our old house on the market it was somewhat of an impulsive act. We had planned to try to sell it in spring 2013, but Matt took a few days off work and we went for it...right before the holidays. I really didn't think it would sell before Dec. 1 which then we agreed to take it off the market for the holidays...we were very surprised to receive an offer only 2 weeks later and were moved in to our new home by Dec. 4th!

Our new home search criteria involved the following....
2 car garage
4 bedrooms
2 baths
Current school district

Our area has AMAZING schools so unfortunately that comes at a high price. This didn't leave a ton of options in our price range. One day while obsessively scanning the MLS a new listing popped up...in a neighborhood I had always loved...and in our price range. Normally this would not have been in our price range but the house although immaculate was DATED as in WALLPAPER which apparently can scare a lot of buyers. But not us, we made an offer that day and got it!
note: Although the house is very dated I was thrilled to find out it had NEW flooring throughout and all new HVAC systems and a 3 year old roof. Bring on the wallpaper!

Update: Everything is pretty much right where we dropped it on moving day with the exception of the family room which is almost done and before was also painted YELLOW!

We did "splurge" on a new fridge and range. Lucky for us HH Gregg has an amazing selection of open box items and we score the fridge at 30% off, and the Range was over 50%!!!!

That's all...The upstairs is out of control with wallpaper so I'll save that for another day!
